I looked through many books that claimed to be the best for the Autoharp, but Mel Bay's IS the best. I play many instruments, including the piano, cello, classical guitar...but a friend bought me an Autoharp for fun, and I AM having a lot of fun with it, but I'm also learning how to play it really well using Mel's book. It gives step-by-step directions (with pictures!!) on dozens of strums, and then goes into teaching how to pick the strings to play tunes. It also has songs that go from easy to much more difficult to play, which I love. I've found this book invaluable - even if you just want to learn to strum an Autoharp, this book is the best "teacher."Product details

I owned this book years ago and loved it. I think its probably the best book out there for learning the autoharp on your own.
